Photographer Jake Clifford rode his Harley from Seattle to the Born-Free motorcycle show in Southern California in June, documenting an endless stream of mesmerizing locales. With just a few days to get from point A to point B, Clifford says, “stopping to take photos wasn’t an option. The only way to take photos was on the move.” This risky maneuver, which involved snapping pictures with his hands off the throttle (!), produced a thrilling set of images that capture the essence of freedom on the open road. Clifford returned home in one piece—lucky indeed.
